The Nigerian Army rescued two kidnapped victims during a successful operation in Kogi State, recovering ₦3.8 million ransom money.

Troops from the 12 Brigade, operating under the Forward Operating Base Oguma, launched the rescue mission after receiving credible intelligence.

They intercepted the armed kidnappers at Achigili Forest, forcing them to abandon the victims and flee the scene.

According to Lieutenant Hassan Abdullahi, the operation was swift and precise, ensuring the safe recovery of both victims without further violence.

The troops also retrieved ₦3.8 million, which the kidnappers had collected as ransom before the intervention. Furthermore, the rescued individuals are currently receiving medical attention and undergoing debriefing at the military base.

The Army Spokesperson reiterated that the operation demonstrates the military’s firm resolve to protect citizens and combat rising insecurity in Kogi State.
