Activist Harrison Gwamnishu visited an elderly woman in Eruku, Kwara State, after her viral clip circulated online. The woman struggled to flee during a deadly church attack that happened on November 18, 2025, at Christ Apostolic Church (CAC) in Eruku, according to local and national media.
Bandits stormed the church with guns, killing three worshippers and abducting several others, reports say. During his visit, activist Harrison Gwamnishu comforted the woman and offered her a small gift for medical care.
He also shared a video of the meeting on social media to raise awareness about her trauma. He called for urgent government action, warning that such violence must not be ignored.
Local news outlets quoted him saying authorities should protect vulnerable citizens more effectively. Many online users praised his compassion and bravery in visiting the survivor. One netizen wrote, “Thank you, Harrison, for standing with those who can’t speak for themselves.”
Another tweeted, “Your visit gave her a voice she lost that night.” Security experts noted the attack on the church reflects worsening insecurity in Kwara rural areas.
Community leaders also reported that bandits have demanded a ransom of ₦100 million for each of the 38 abducted worshippers. The harrowing visit by Gwamnishu underlines calls for stronger protection of religious gatherings and more decisive intervention by security agencies.
