Nigerian TikToker DJ Chicken narrowly escaped death yesterday after he was brutally attacked by a mob in Sagamu, Ogun State.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred after a truck he was reportedly driving collided with a motorcycle near the Oba Erinola Bridge, injuring two people.
The crash quickly drew an angry crowd that accused him of reckless driving. Consequently, the mob descended on the influencer, beating him mercilessly before local vigilantes and police intervened.

Police officers from the Sagamu Division confirmed that DJ Chicken was rescued and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. They added that an investigation is ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the crash and the assault.
However, no official arrests have been made as of press time. Meanwhile, the viral video of the attack circulated rapidly online, drawing outrage and sympathy from Nigerians.
Social media platforms erupted with mixed reactions. Some users condemned the mob’s actions, while others called for justice for the injured motorcycle passengers.

The Ogun State Police Command reiterated its commitment to upholding justice and warned citizens against taking the law into their own hands.
